Fueling hours: Fuel Counter is open from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Saturday & Sunday 365 days a year. However, after 5:00 pm Call 870-886-5432 and a fuel person will be at the counter waiting for you.

Please allow 30 to 45 minutes for time to airport. $25.00 after-hour call-out fee if prior arrangements are not made.

We offer free coffee, water, popcorn and ice cream to all pilots and their families.

Discounts: Veterans, Cargo flights, Medical, CAP, EAA members, WINGS members and Flight Schools receive a discount before sales tax. Also show us your military ID for a discount.

We have 3 fuel trucks, a 2200 gallon and a 5000 gallon Jet/A fuel truck and a 1000 gallon 100LL truck. We stock 12,000 gallons of Jet/A fuel and 10,000 gallons of 100LL. We accept CAA, Government Air Card and Titan contract fuel for Jet/A fuel. Our fuel equipment and fuel farm have been inspected by the Government (Military) to government standards. We are inspected yearly by Quality Control Inspectors from Titan. Self-Serve is available for 100LL and JetA+.

Animal Control

Our main goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners. We take pictures of pets that our Animal Control Officer picks up and post them on our social media here. If any owners recognize their pet, please contact Walnut Ridge Animal Control to schedule pick-up. Our office hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

For every transaction under $100, there will be a $2.50 service charge. For every transaction over $100 there will be a 2.5% service charge. (Neither of these charges are from the Water Works)

Fire Department

Mission Statement: The Mission of the Walnut Ridge Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Walnut Ridge with the professionalism and courtesy they deserve.

The Walnut Ridge Fire Department is an all –hazards, combination department that operates from 4 fire stations. Station 1, which is where the administration offices is located, is at 3227 Hwy 67B in the northwest section of the city. Station 2 is located with the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport Terminal on Skywatch. Station 3, which is located at 218 E Main St. in the southeast section of the city, houses the Community Risk Reduction/Code Enforcement division of the WRFD. Station 4, which is located at the intersection of HWY 231 and Lawrence 612, provides coverage for the outside protection area for the WRFD in eastern Lawrence County. The Fire Department is equipped with 4 Fire Engines in which one carries light extrication equipment, 1- 75’ Aerial Ladder Truck with heavy extrication equipment, 1- 2500 gallon water tender with a 1250 GPM pump, 1-Brush/Wildland unit, 1- Hazardous Materials Operations Unit, 1- Special Operations Response Unit, 1-UTV for rescue and fire control. Walnut Ridge Fire Department is very active and provides services for fire suppression, heavy and light extrication, first responder medical, arson investigations, a hazardous materials team with technicians, a rope rescue team with technicians, wildland fire suppression, fire prevention and life safety education to the public. All career WRFD firefighters are IFSAC-accredited FFII, medical first responders, Haz Mat Operations level. Many are certified Emergency Medical Technicians, Fire Instructors, Fire Inspectors, and Technical Recue and Haz Mat Technicians.

The Walnut Ridge Fire Department has a Public Protection Classification/ISO class 3 rating.

The City Of Walnut Ridge recreational parks include sporting fields, a public swimming pool, an archery range, basketball & tennis courts, fishing pond and a large walking track.

The Walnut Ridge Police Department is committed to providing excellent law enforcement services to the citizens of the community, and by doing so, the Department strengthens its partnership with the people it serves. Patrol officers of the Walnut Ridge Police Department provide round-the-clock coverage for its citizens and visitors. Detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division investigate criminal activity and work closely with both victims and prosecutors to bring perpetrators to justice. WRPD School Resource Officers are assigned to the Lawrence County School District, and help facilitate a safe environment for students and educators on its campus. WRPD officers are dispatched through a 24-hour centralized emergency-dispatch office.

The Walnut Ridge Street Department is responsible for maintaining street conditions, ditching, drain tiles,street striping and handicapped markings, & hauling brush. In addition they also clean Main Street and Right-of-Ways, maintain the street lights, handle mowing and weed control, maintain all street and information signs,and over see city dumpsters.
The street department maintains over 17 square miles of streets, ditches, signs, alleys, and  right-of-ways.
